Is There a Reliable WordPad Online Alternative?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using WordPad on Windows for simple text editing, but I’m looking for an online alternative that doesn’t require installation. Ideally, it should support basic formatting, be lightweight, and allow me to save documents easily. I’ve tried some online editors, but many are either too bloated or require creating an account.

Does anyone know a WordPad-like tool that works entirely in the browser, is free, and reliable for everyday note-taking or document editing? Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

OnlyOffice Personal is a bit more feature-rich but still lightweight and easy to use. For a true WordPad-like experience online without any bloat or sign-ups, Etherpad is probably your best choice.
